Success at the First Conference on the Role of Women in the Canary Islands Industry

The first “Role of Women in the Canary Islands Industry” conference has concluded successfully, highlighting the importance of gender equality in the archipelago’s industrial sector.

During the event, the key findings of the study “The Role of Women in the Canary Islands Industry” were presented, analyzing female presence in the sector and proposing strategies to promote their integration.

Additionally, a roundtable discussion was held, where industry experts debated the challenges and opportunities for women in the field. Moderated by Laura Mª Dapresa Hernández, Secretary-General of the organizing entity, the panel featured:

  • Carmen Henríquez, Human Resources Manager at Diasan Puertas Automáticas.
  • Cristina Rivero, Production Manager at DOS SANTOS.
  • Mª Ángeles Benítez, Human Resources Director at VIDRIERAS CANARIAS SA.
  • Sara Pérez, Production Manager at Garoé.

The event, promoted by the Canary Islands Department of Economy, Industry, Trade, and Self-Employment in collaboration with the Canary Islands Technological Institute, reaffirms the commitment to inclusion and the visibility of female talent in the industrial sector.
